Four Ways to Keep Your Youngest Wedding Guests Entertained

A make-your-own sundae bar is a cool way to captivate the attention of your younger wedding guests.

Your wedding day is a wonderful experience to share with friends and family members. While your adult guests will have fun dancing, drinking and chatting, younger guests might feel a bit left out. Some couples opt for adults only weddings (this can help if you are having an open bar), but another option is to provide entertainment for the kids.

Here are some ideas for keeping kids entertained at weddings.

  1. Provide special wedding favors. Arrange for there to be a bag of fun wedding favors for your younger guests at their seats. Include items such as a coloring book, a pack of crayons, stickers, candy, or playdough.
  2. Provide special entertainment for the kids. If you don't want the kids at your wedding getting too rambunctious, see if you can set up separate entertainment for them in another room or another area of your function hall. Acts can include jugglers, magicians, or kids friendly musicians
  3. Another option is to rent out a moon bounce. That will let the kids run out their energy while the adults all have a fantastic time.
  4. Set up fun food stations. Crafting fun creations can help keep kids entertained (and can be fun for guests of all ages as well). Consider a make-your-own-sundae bar, a cake decorating station, a hot dog station or other fun food stationsTalk with your caterer about setting up one of these fun stations. They might even have a few suggestions of their own!
